Ever since my childhood I have been fascinated by Egyptian Arabians.
In 1995 I bought my first Arabian horse, a 14 day old bay colt. In the same year I acquired his half sister and one year later I also acquired the dam of both. They were not Straight Egyptians but they had some Egyptian blood in their pedigrees and I was, and I am still, proud to own these fantastic horses. My little colt died too early as a gelding in 1998 but his half sister and his dam remain a part of our stud even though they are not active breeding mares.
A few years ago we decided to concentrate on breeding only Straight Egyptian bloodlines. The bloodlines of our Egyptians go back to such famous stud farms as Albadeia Stud, Ansata Arabians, El Zahraa Stud, Gleannloch Farms and Hamdan Stables. In the pedigree of our horses you will find the names of Alidaar, Ibn Moniet El Nefous, MFA Mareekh Amir, The Egyptian Prince, The Minstril and also of Bint El Araby, Fahda, Soheir II and Toka.
Because our stud farm is still in
the process of growing we currently have one Straight Egyptian stallion, the Alidaar son, Ali Dabah El Chamsin and six Straight Egyptian broodmares. We take great care to ensure that the mares we add to our herd meet our high standards for quality and we attach great importance to building on the EAO bloodlines.
As a rule every year two to four foals will be born. In the past the foals we have produced were classic beauties and also excellent riding horses with wonderful character. It is a great pleasure for us that over the years we have stayed in friendly contact with the new owners of our foals.
We are a small stud farm and the well being of our horses is an important priority. If we feel a mare needs a break we won't breed her that year, which is the reason that now and then we have no foals. We are happy to be at liberty to make this decision.
The name of our stud farm, Al Hadiyeh, means "THE GIFT." We chose this name because we see our horses as valuable gifts, no matter whether or not they are Straight Egyptians. It is a privilege to spend every day with these fascinating horses.
